Let’s start super deep into the strategy, execution, and design for modular content development.
So that you can absolutely maximize your investment in creative and copy,
for the deployment to literally any platform,
in a highly scalable fashion,
that has extreme continuity
Establishing simple business rules to maximize the value of all creative efforts is essential.
We can utilize a few simple rules for content types, both with video and copy, to massively amplify the redeployment opportunity for our Creatives.
This is the blueprint that I personally use, and I have used for years,
to make the absolute most of any piece of content that I have…
To be as omnipresent as possible with the least amount of effort…
For both organic and paid efforts…
In a way that is easily scalable
Shooting in landscape format is an excellent way to make your content universally applicable across all creative formats.
Not only is it usable for all traditional forms of media.
It also is editable into portrait mode in a way that cannot be said the same the other way around.
Full-screen vertical video is excellent for getting across short ideas and for bingeable content of limited length.
Generally speaking, this content is less than 60 seconds but can be as high as three minutes.
Depending on the use case ideal length is often under 10 seconds.
Strategically,
when we focus on creating landscape videos to be re-purposed as portrait mode videos, we can create long-form copy that is designed to also be compartmentalized…
It becomes extremely easy to force multiply 1 effort of writing & recording video.
There are a lot of solutions out there for posting content to multiple platforms from one place.
Many of the options come from the original DNA of allowing a social media manager to not have to log in to multiple places.
I prefer to use tools designed for repurposing from the start.
We have seen a big rise in the use of no-code tools designed to replace manual workloads with automated efforts.
I’d like to have a few tools that overlap in functionality but specialize in different user cases.
The ability to rip content sans watermark is huge.
It’s great to be posting videos.
But who says most will see it.
People love to engage with live content.
Why not make your social channels effectively function as a television network.
You can repost the live videos over and over.
It’s not like you don’t have new followers.
Having captions on your video is essential.
Most users will experience at least 30 to 50% of their social media daily with the sound on their phone off.
If you’re making a video & they can’t know what you’re saying, you’ve wasted that impression.
The beauty of designing long-form content to be compartmentalized & distributed in an automated fashion is that it tremendously multiplies your efforts without multiplying your workload.
This blueprint takes something from 1 massive piece to many small ones.
Because we’ve designed our long-form content to be modular and its construction, it becomes very easy for us to take each of these segments, like so many Legos, and break them down into smaller pieces.
It’s important to remember that this also is not exclusive to video content.
One of the most beautiful parts of modular design and the Omni channel deployment of Content in both long and short form is the ability to market test concepts and angles, sales pages, and language…
It becomes very easy to do high-confidence market research at scale.
If you can produce an extended piece of content, the value added isn’t the ability to make 20 TikToks. It’s about the ability to market test positioning and create many forms of short and long-form written and video content.
Done well, This prints 💰
The honest truth is that if you shoot a good 15 to 30-minute video and write a couple of paragraphs per point in that video, that single effort can easily produce well over 100 pieces of content deployed across dozens of dozens of channels.
That’s how you win!
